Dr. Amit Bansal has been working as a Scientist since 2018 in the Formulation Research & Development Division of Perrigo located in Michigan, USA. He earned his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Mercer University, Atlanta, USA. While pursuing PhD, Dr. Bansal worked on the development of a particulate vaccine for infectious diseases (rabies) in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As part of this research, he performed comparative evaluation of the efficacy of a rabies particulate vaccine administered via the intramuscular route and skin using microneedle and laser treatment. In 2018, he received an award from the International Society of Vaccines for his work on vaccine development. He is affiliated with various scientific journals as an editorial board member and reviewer. Dr. Bansal has diverse research experience including the development of solid oral dosage form, solid dispersion, and enhancing permeability of anticancer drugs across the blood-brain barrier. His industrial experience of over 4 years culminated in the commercialization of various drug products. Dr. Bansal’s scientific contributions have resulted in 11 publications that include book chapters, research papers, and review articles in reputed journals. He has presented more than 20 posters on his research at various national and international conferences.
