Samuel G. Awuah obtained his BS degree in Chemistry from KNUST, Ghana, and completed his PhD at the University of Oklahoma in the area of Organic/Medicinal Chemistry. He moved to MIT with a focus on Bioinorganic chemistry, where he worked with Prof. Stephen Lippard to elucidate mechanisms of platinum-based drugs while developing new metal-based therapeutics. Samuel’s current research interests include bioinorganic chemistry, chemical biology, drug discovery, and method development.
