Dr. Pradeep Joshi received his BS from the Mumbai University, in 1994, and his MS in Biotechnology from University of Pune in 1996. He obtained his PhD from University of Maryland in 2004. There, he worked with Dr. David Eisenmann to understand the molecular mechanisms of program cell death and the specification of epidermal cell fate in C. elegans. He is currently a project scientist in the laboratory of Dr. Joel Rothman where he studies the non-apoptotic roles of the core cell death regulators as well as the molecular switches governing cell proliferation and differentiation using C. elegans germline stem cells as a paradigm.
