Affiliation: Karolinska Institutet, Department of Neuroscience

Dr. Bose is a senior postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Neuroscience, Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. His research focuses on disease-based human neural organoid models to study the cellular and molecular mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders, which are caused by genetic predisposition and environmental factors. He has a PhD in Medical Science from Karolinska Institutet, and more than 5 years of postdoctoral work experience in different labs in several countries including the USA. He has competence in brain development and stem cell models, including rodent primary cultures of neural progenitor cells (NPCs) obtained from individual embryonic cortices dissected from timed-pregnant wild-type rats, and YAC 128 transgenic mice. More recently, he acquired expertise on human neuroprogenitor cells derived from iPSCs. He has published his research findings in highly respected international journals, including, Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, Cell Death and Disease, Toxicological Sciences, Transl Psychiatry, and Journal of Internal Medicine.
