Wuliang Yin (M’05–SM’06) was appointed as an MT Sponsored Lecturer with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Manchester, Manchester, U.K., in 2012, promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2016 and Reader in 2020. He has authored one book, more than 300 papers, and was granted more than ten patents in the area of electromagnetic (EM) sensing and imaging.

He was a recipient of the 2021 Best Application Award from IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, the 2014 and 2015 Williams Award from the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, and the Science and Technology Award from the Chinese Ministry of Education in 2000.
