Affiliation: University of Oxford, Department of Plant Sciences

Dr. Buscaill studied Biological Sciences at the University of Albi (France), he then completed his MSc in Plant Sciences at the University of Toulouse (France). Pierre received his PhD at Laboratory of Plant-Microbe Interactions (LIPM, France). He now works as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Plant Chemetics Lab at the University of Oxford (United Kingdom). Pierre's research interest is to understand the extracellular recognition of bacterial pathogens in plants. His current research focuses on elucidating the release of bacterial immunogenic fragments, and the strategies used by bacterial pathogens to evade extracellular recognition. By better understanding plant immunity and microbial colonisation, his research aims to address fundamental research questions while developing new crop protection strategies.
