Dr. Liao is an Assistant Professor at University of Michigan – Flint. She graduated from University of Southern California with a PhD degree in Biokinesiology. She then completed her postdoctoral training in Musculoskeletal Quantitative Imaging Research at University of California – San Francisco. Her research focuses on the biomechanical factors that contribute to musculoskeletal pathology (mechanism), the quantification of disease development and progression through advanced imaging (disease tracking), and the exploration of the efficacy of the treatment (clinical application). Other than being a researcher, she is a mom to three wonderful puppies and enjoys spending time with them.
