Dr. Imane El Meouche completed her PhD in microbiology at the University of Rouen studying autolysis and toxins expression in Clostridium difficile. She next moved to the US and did her post-doc in the Dunlop lab. She focused on the emergence of transient and permanent antibiotic resistance in Escherichia coli. Now, as an INSERM researcher, she is working to understand the mechanisms of antibiotic resistance and tolerance in E. coli using in vitro and in vivo approaches.
