Dr. Manuel Campos was trained as a molecular geneticist and cellular biologist. After completing a PhD in France on the helicoidal structure of a bacterial pilus-like structure, he moved to Christine Jacobs-Wagner’s lab to study cell size homeostasis in bacteria. He currently holds a permanent researcher position at the CNRS in Toulouse, France. He currently investigates the mechanisms underpinning the coordination between the division and DNA cycles in Escherichia coli through a comparative cell biology approach.
