Dr. Tang-Chuan Wang (MD, Ph.D., FACS) is an otolaryngologist. He currently serves as chairman in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at China Medical University Hsinchu Hospital, Taiwan. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery (including endoscopic, robotic, and navigation surgery). He was a research scholar at Harvard Medical School, MA, and University of Iowa Hospitals, IA, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

During his substantial clinical experience, Dr. Wang has worked at Stanford University, the University of Pennsylvania, Boston Childrens' Hospital, and Massachusetts Eye and Ear and has collaborated in research and clinical projects. He believes that the auditory system is one of the finest structures in the human body. When people communicate with others, listening is always the first step. That is why Helen Keller once said, "Blindness separates people from things; deafness separates people from people".

In addition to clinical and basic research, Dr. Wang also launched out into public health in Taiwan. Public health has been defined as "the science and art of preventing disease", improving quality of life through organized efforts. He believes that we must integrate precision medicine, preventive medicine, and telemedicine into one module in order to develop comprehensive, multifaceted strategies to address public health needs. In recent years, Dr. Wang has devoted himself to these fields and further medical innovations. He always says that "in theoretical or practical aspects, no innovation is a step backward ". Due to his contribution to bio-design, he was invited to join the executive committee of the Advanced Joint R & D Center in Taiwan.
