Dr. Ashish Prajapati received his B.E. and MTech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering. His master’s research was focused on the optoelectronic nature of III-V light emitting diodes. He pursued his PhD (Summa Cum Laude) from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. His doctoral research involved light trapping mechanisms in surface arrays composed of subwavelength features for photovoltaic and photonic applications. During his PhD he was a research student at the BGU Nanofabrication Center where he was involved in fabrication of silicon photovoltaic cells based on light funnel arrays. He was a recipient of Kaufmann Award for the highest graduate achievement in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He was also a recipient of the Rector’s Award and Faran mid-way Negev fellowship from the Kreitman school of advanced graduate studies and MHRD, JRF, SMDP-C2SD fellowship from the government of India. Currently he is a post-doctoral candidate in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Ben Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. His current research focus is on HEMT and biosensing based on novel field-effect devices. Recently he received Pratt Postdoc fellowship at Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel.
