Dr. Matilde Alique is a researcher and an Assistant Professor of Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine in the Universidad de Alcalá in Spain. She started her research focusing on the molecular regulation of inflammatory renal pathologies. During her postdoctoral research at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in NYC and the Nephrology and Hypertension Unit in the Fundación Jimenez Diaz in Madrid (Spain), she gained extensive expertise in the regulation of renal disease. In addition, she expanded her knowledge of the methodologies implied in vascular calcification in cardiovascular diseases.
