Dr. Asal Kiazadeh is a scientist at the CENIMAT|i3N, Department of Materials Science, School of Science and Technology,NOVA University Lisbon, and CEMOP/UNINOVA, Caparica, Portugal.

Her research aims to investigate the electrical properties of a promising class of flexible materials based on amorphous oxide applied for memristors and thin-film transistors (physical level-device level) for IoT applications. She is orienting a research team under the topic of memristor for various applications. She has several Master’s students each year from different fields: Micro & Nanotechnology, Electronics, and Material science, and currently 5 PhD students whose work is related to a new computation system based on memristor. She is the principal investigator (PI) of the project NeurOxide (PTDC/NAN-. MAT/30812). The aim is to integrate thin-film transistors and memristors for neuromorphic networks.

She is an active member of the organization team of the Advanced Doctoral Conference on Computing, Electrical and Industrial Systems (DoCEIS), from 2016 up to the present.
