Dr. Pauline Spéder is a principal investigator in the Department of Developmental and Stem Cell Biology at the Institut Pasteur in Paris. She previously obtained her PhD and Habilitation from the University of Nice (France) and held a post-doctoral position at the Gurdon Institute in Cambridge (United Kingdom). Her personal expertise combines morphogenetic processes during development, stem cell biology, and neuroscience, with a particular focus on glia and blood-brain barrier tissues, as well as infections of the central nervous system.
Dr. Spéder's team is currently investigating the interaction between neural stem cells and their cellular microenvironment in physiological and pathological contexts, using Drosophila melanogaster as a model.
