Dr. Pallares received his PhD in Materials Science from the University College London (UK) in 2017. Previously, he had hold research positions at NTT Basic Research Laboratories (Japan) and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (Singapore). He has worked as a postdoctoral fellow and project scientist at Northwestern University and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories (USA). In 2021, he joined the Institute for Experimental Molecular Imaging at RWTH Aachen University Clinic (Germany). There, he leads the Biohybrid Nanomedical Materials group, which aims to develop bio-inspired nanomaterials for early disease diagnostics and therapeutics.
