Dr. Piyush Kumar Gupta is an assistant professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, Prayagraj, India. His expertise includes biomaterials, pharmaceutical nanotechnology, and nanotoxicology. He holds eight granted patents and has published more than 150 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals. Dr. Gupta is a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London and an active member of the Indian National Young Academy of Science, the Indian National Academy of Engineering, and several scientific societies. He has received numerous national and international recognitions, including inclusion in the Top 2% World Scientists List for 2024 and 2025, the INSA Visiting Scientist Award, and the Nanoscale Horizons Award. He serves on editorial boards for journals published by Elsevier, Springer, and Frontiers and reviews projects for government agencies. He is also an active reviewer for more than 100 international journals and frequently delivers invited lectures and organizes government-funded scientific programs across biotechnology and nanomedicine research communities.
