Dr. Drishya Diwaker is a virologist with a background in immunology and neuroscience. She is passionate about viruses and investigates viral strategies for hijacking the host machinery, whether it is to evade the immune system or traffic down the length of neuronal axons for viral spread. She obtained her PhD degree from the Defense Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences, India and subsequently came to the US for post-doctoral training. Currently, she is an Instructor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. For leisure, she likes to bake and explore new places to rewire herself.
