Gendie Lash is a Principal Investigator, heading the Laboratory for Uterine Vascular Biology at the Guangzhou Institutes of Pediatrics, Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center. She graduated from the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand, with a BSc (Hons) and PhD. She then worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Nottingham, UK, Queen’s University, Canada and Newcastle University, UK. She was also a lecturer at Newcastle University before moving to Guangzhou in July 2015. Her research program focuses on developing and remodeling the uterine spiral arteries and how failures in these processes impact women’s reproductive health. She has published over 140 papers and book chapters, of which approximately 80 are original articles, the others being review articles, workshop reports, editorials and book chapters. She is an Executive Editor (Implantation) for Molecular Reproduction and Development and the China Assistant Editor for Placenta.
