Antwi-B. Oteng received a BSc in Biochemistry in 2011 from the University of Ghana, an MSc in Molecular Life Science in 2014 from Wageningen University, Netherlands, and a PhD in Molecular Nutrition focusing on lipid metabolism in 2019 from Wageningen University. From June 2019 to July 2021, Dr. Oteng trained as a Postdoctoral Scientist at Columbia University, New York, investigating the potential of modulating bile acid metabolism to reverse obesity and associated metabolic complications. Dr Oteng then joined NIDDK at NIH as a Postdoc Fellow in August 2021 to investigate the role of GPCR signaling in enteroendocrine cells on systemic glucose homeostasis. Dr. Oteng is a Research Fellow with the National Human Genome Research Institute at NIH, investigating the functional roles of specific gene variants in humans that associate with cardiometabolic diseases, specifically dyslipidemia, obesity, and type-2 diabetes.
