Dr. Hardeep Singh Mudhar, PhD, FRCPath, is head of the ophthalmic pathology service in the National Specialist Ophthalmic Pathology Service Sheffield laboratory (NSOPS-Sheffield), Dept. of Histopathology, Royal Hallamshire Hospital, UK. He graduated in medicine from Guy’s Hospital Medical School London and the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine, and he did a PhD in developmental biology from University College London. He has practiced as a diagnostic ophthalmic pathologist for 19 years. His main research themes are ocular surface and intraocular tumors, their molecular genetics, and ocular inflammatory diseases. He was involved in editing and authoring several chapters for the WHO Classification of Tumors of the Eye and Orbit for the 4th and upcoming 5th editions. He is a member of the British Association for Ophthalmic Pathology, the European Ophthalmic Pathology Society, and the American Eastern Ophthalmic Pathology Society.
