Dr. Hailan Liu received her PhD in Clinical Medicine from Central South University, China, in 2021. During 2018-2021, she worked as an exchange student in the laboratory of Dr. Yong Xu at Baylor College of Medicine. She is currently a postdoctoral associate in Dr. Xu’s lab at Baylor. Her research focuses on expanding the frontiers of knowledge in neuroendocrinology and metabolism. Specifically, she focuses on identifying novel neural circuits and molecules responsible for controlling food intake and maintaining energy balance.
