Dr. Olivia Le Moëne is an active member of LinkSense, the Linköping Somatosensory and Interoceptive Consortium. Ethologist at heart, she works to uncover laboratory mouse emotional and social behavior. She did her PhD in behavioral neuroendocrinology at the Arctic University of Norway before joining the Division of Neurobiology at Linköping University, Sweden. Her work consists of designing new, representative behavioral protocols to counteract the reductionist bias in neuroscience and improve result translation to the clinic. Her latest projects include developing a new, quantitative approach to facial expression analysis in freely moving mice or investigating the directionality of social interactions in groups of mice living in naturalistic conditions.
