Dr. Soline Estrach obtained her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology at University of Montpellier II in 2002. Then, she moved to London to work with Pr F. Watt on skin biology. She was interested in signalling pathways crosstalk and cell fate determination in epidermis. She then went back to France as an INSERM Junior scientist where she joined the unit “Cutaneous Biology and physiopathology: Genetic expression, signalling and therapies” directed by Dr G. Meneguzzi. In 2011, she obtained a permanent position at INSERM, and joined the team directed by Dr C. Féral at the Institute of Research and Cancer of Nice (France) to apply her skin biologist skills onto aging-epidermal homeostasis. She has a vast experience and a strong interest in integrated microenvironment cues such as matrix related forces into homeostasis regulation, especially in stem cells maintenance.
