Affiliation: The First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University

Dr. Ling Gao is an associate professor of gastrointestinal surgery at the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. His main research directions include traditional surgery and laparoscopy/minimally invasive surgery. His work focuses on basic and clinical research on gastric cancer, involving the tumor immune microenvironment, noncoding RNA, organoids, stem cell factors, etc. He has led several research projects funded by national and provincial governments.

Dr. Ling Gao is the deputy director of the General Surgery Teaching and Research Office of the First Clinical Medical College of Soochow University. He is the deputy chairperson of the China Constipation Specialized Alliance, a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Committee of Digestive Tract Tumors of the China Health Care International Exchange and Promotion Association, and a member of the Expert Committee of Colorectal Cancer of Jiangsu Cancer Prevention and Treatment Alliance.
