Pro. Xiaohua Li is a professor of Thyroid Gland and Breast Surgery at Suzhou Wuzhong People’s Hospital. Her main research interests are open surgery for benign and malignant thyroid and breast tumors, minimally invasive/endoscopic treatment, and one-stage and two-stage reconstructive surgery for breast cancer. Her work is focused on the mechanism of breast carcinoma initiation and progression, including the tumor microenvironment, breast cancer-related genes, and tumor immunology. She has led six research programs funded by national and provincial governments.

Prof. Li is the chairman of the Breast Health Management and Science Popularization Expert Committee, Health Popularization Branch of Shanghai Science and Technology Popularization Volunteers Association, and vice chairman of the Thyroid and Breast Disease Professional Committee of Jiangsu Society Medical Institutions Association. She has received awards such as Health Leading Talents of Dongwu (2023), the most beautiful doctor of Soochow (2022), etc.
