Dr. Madhu C Shivamadhu is a postdoctoral research associate at the Department of Chemistry at Drexel University. He completed his Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 2020 from the University of Mysore, India. He started his postdoctoral research fellow position in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan in 2021. During his tenure, he utilized single-cell RNA-seq data and molecular imaging techniques to identify novel biomarkers for the early detection of colon and esophagus cancer. Presently, he is studying the role of protein glutathionylation in cell migration and invasion in various pathological diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, and neurological disorders.
