Dr. Felipe A. Contreras Briceño received his degree in Kinesiology from the Universidad de Chile (Chile) and his MSc from the same university. Subsequently, he completed an MSc and PhD in Biomedicine at the Universität de Barcelona (Spain). Currently, he is the head of the Laboratory of Exercise Physiology at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (Chile) and his research interests are the effects of exercise/training on the respiratory redox state, cardiac changes, and oxygen levels in the prefrontal cortex, respiratory and locomotor muscles in athletes, non-active subjects and patients, using non-invasive methods.
