Dr. Suhas Ballal has served as Assistant Professor of Biochemistry at Jain University, Bangalore, since May 2018. He obtained his MSc in Medical Biochemistry from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal (2009), and a PhD in Biochemistry from Karnatak University, Dharwad (2018). His research focused on host-pathogen interactions, specifically the role of fungal lectins in mycotic keratitis. His spans cell biology, microbiology, protein chemistry, immunology, and molecular biology. Numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as research assistants, have been mentored. Responsibilities include guiding biochemistry research and managing in-house projects. Over 9 years of academic and research experience have been gained, with strong communication skills in science for both students and peers.
