Jinhai Huang is the executive vice president of the Institute for Medical and Engineering Innovation at the Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University. He also serves as the vice president of the Eye Institute and Department of Ophthalmology at the same institution, as well as the deputy director of the Shanghai Research Center of Ophthalmology and Optometry.

He specializes in keratoconus screening and corneal crosslinking, myopia prevention and control, refractive surgery planning, preoperative cataract measurement, and intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation.

Dr. Huang's research focuses on cutting-edge technologies in ophthalmology and optometry, including ocular biometric measurement, gene editing, and nanobiomaterials. He has published over 200 academic papers in leading journals, such as Nature Communications, Advanced Science, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, ACS Nano, The Ocular Surface, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Carbohydrate Polymers.
