Dr. Anoop Kanjirakat is an associate professor in the Department of Aeronautical and Automobile Engineering Department at Manipal Institute of Technology-Manipal India. He completed his B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering. from MA College of Engineering, Kerala, India and his M. Tech in Thermal Sciences from National Institute of Technology, Calicut, India. He was awarded the DAAD fellowship, a distinguished German student exchange program, to conduct his PhD work on heat transfer in nanofluids at a German institute and the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras. He also worked as a research scientist at Texas A&M University (Qatar Campus) for 13 years, where he spearheaded several multi-disciplinary research activities. Dr. Kanjirakat’s research focuses on experimental heat transfer and fluid flow, phase change materials, computational fluid dynamics, optical measurement and visualization studies, microfluidics, and multiphase flows.
