Dr. S. Jesudass Thomas is a distinguished academician and accomplished professional in the field of Mechanical Engineering. He currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KCG College of Technology, an autonomous institution in Chennai. With a career spanning over 25 years, Dr. Jesudass combines extensive teaching expertise with valuable industrial experience, making him a highly regarded educator and researcher in his field. He started his academic journey with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Madras University and a master’s degree in manufacturing engineering from Anna University - MIT Campus. He further pursued a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University - AC Tech Campus. His doctoral research, a pioneering study in the field of machining, focused on improving cutting performance through surface texturing on cutting tools and machining of advanced materials. His research interests cover a broad spectrum of topics within Mechanical Engineering, including machining of materials, surface engineering, and materials science.
