Dr. Yahan Liu is an assistant professor at the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, Peking University. She earned her PhD in basic medicine from Peking University, with collaborative research at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, where she developed expertise in microvascular vasomotor function assessment.

Dr. Liu's research focuses on the mechanisms of pathological remodeling driven by cardiovascular dysfunction and abnormal injury repair. She has developed various animal models for vascular diseases and specializes in microvascular vasomotor function. She also created an in vitro platform for microvascular pathology. She investigates signaling pathways associated with cardiovascular disorders using genomics, metabolomics, and proteomics. In collaboration with clinical teams, she has established single-cell dissociation and sorting strategies of vascular tissues, combined with single-cell sequencing, to explore organ-specific vascular characteristics and functional differences between human and animal vascular systems.
