Rodrigo Maldonado-Agurto holds a bioengineering degree and an MSc in Biochemistry and Bioinformatics from the University of Concepción in Chile. He obtained his PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Manchester in the UK, where his research focused on optimizing recombinant protein production in mammalian cells. Following his doctoral studies, he conducted postdoctoral research on the regulation of gene expression by non-coding RNAs. Since 2022, he has been an academic researcher at Universidad Finis Terrae in Chile, where he leads an independent laboratory dedicated to investigating the molecular mechanisms of endothelial senescence through integrated approaches in molecular biology, cell biology, and bioinformatics.
