Dr. Haojie Hao is an associate professor at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He earned his PhD from the same institute in 2019 and conducted postdoctoral research at Shenzhen University. His research focuses on the epitranscriptomic regulation of viral genomes, particularly examining RNA modifications such as N6-methyladenosine (m⁶A), 5-methylcytidine (m⁵C), and N4-acetylcytidine (ac⁴C) in the context of RNA virus replication and antiviral immunity.
Dr. Hao has led multiple national and provincial research projects, including studies on Enterovirus 71 and the Nipah virus. He has published his findings in prestigious journals such as Nucleic Acids Research, iScience, and Viruses. His work enhances our understanding of how RNA modifications influence host-virus interactions and opens new avenues for antiviral interventions.
