Enes Durgut has been an assistant professor in the Department of Genetics and Bioengineering at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University since 2024. He received his BSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2013. Following graduation, he worked as a medical device auditor before receiving a Turkish government-funded scholarship to pursue graduate studies abroad. He earned his MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Dundee in 2019 and completed his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Sheffield in 2023.

His research focuses on the fabrication, morphological control, and characterization of porous polymeric materials. He has particular expertise in polymerized high internal phase emulsions (PolyHIPEs), and his current work is expanding into phase separation–induced methods for developing porous scaffolds and functional materials.
