Prof. Awadhesh Kumar Jaiswal is a professor and Head of the Department of Neurosurgery at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow, India. He earned his MBBS from King George's Medical College (KGMC), Lucknow, and MCh in Neurosurgery from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

A recipient of numerous gold medals, book prizes, certificates of honour, and scholarships during his medical training, Prof. Jaiswal is an esteemed member of the Neurological Society of India, Delhi Neurological Association, Neuroendoscopy Society of India, Neurotrauma Society of India, Skull Base Surgery Society of India, and Asian Conference of Neurological Surgeons.​

With 234 peer-reviewed publications, 23 book chapters, and 62 conference presentations, his primary areas of interest include endoscopic neurosurgery, transorbital surgery, and skull base surgery. He continues to advance neurosurgical innovation through research, teaching, and multidisciplinary collaborations at SGPGIMS.
