Dr. Arthur Nery Finatto is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Calgary, Canada, where his research focuses on host–pathogen interactions and resilience applied to swine medicine. His work integrates molecular biology, immunology, and microbiology to better understand disease mechanisms and support improvements in swine health and pork production. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Passo Fundo, Brazil, followed by a Master’s in Experimental Epidemiology Applied to Zoonoses from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, and a PhD in large animal clinical sciences from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Dr. Finatto has also held research appointments at Linköping University (Sweden), Université du Québec à Montréal (Canada), and the Topigs Norsvin Research Center (Netherlands).
