Dr. Vivien Chavanelle is a postdoctoral researcher at the Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe (CIPF), Valencia, Spain, specializing in integrative physiology and metabolic disease mechanisms, with a focus on type 2 diabetes and metabolic dysfunction–associated liver disease (MASLD/MASH). He obtained his PhD in 2018 from Université Clermont Auvergne (France), where he investigated the effects of exercise and botanical supplementation on metabolic regulation. He then worked as a senior researcher at Valbiotis (Clemont Ferrand, France), leading projects on nutritional and physical activity interventions for metabolic diseases, combining preclinical models with translational studies in at-risk populations. In July 2025, he joined CIPF in the laboratory of Professor Antonio Vidal-Puig. His current research focuses on the mechanisms driving the progression from MASLD to MASH, with an emphasis on integrative and translational approaches to metabolic health.
