Vinaya Sahasrabuddhe, PhD, is a Glenn Foundation for Medical Research Postdoctoral Fellow in the laboratory of Anne Schaefer at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She received her PhD in biology from the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore, India. Her research investigates microglial plasticity and function in the context of brain aging and neurodegeneration, combining genetic mouse models, microglia transplantation, and molecular approaches to test the limits of microglial adaptability and its consequences for brain function.
