Professor James Tsoi is an associate professor of dental materials science, assistant dean (Innovation), and director of the Global Hub for Future Dentistry at the Faculty of Dentistry, the University of Hong Kong. He obtained his BSc in Applied and Analytical Chemistry and his PhD in Dental Materials Science from the University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on dental materials, artificial intelligence (AI), digital dentistry, smart manufacturing, and 3D printing. With a strong commitment to integrating generative AI and CAD/CAM technologies into oral health rehabilitation, Prof. Tsoi has published more than 180 peer-reviewed articles and holds multiple patents advancing the fields of dental materials and digital dentistry.
