Acclimatization Protocol

An acclimatization protocol is a structured procedure that allows an organism to adjust gradually to new environmental conditions before experimentation, cultivation, transport, or routine handling. It typically controls variables such as temperature, humidity, light, housing, nutrition, and handling while providing time for physiological and behavioral adjustment; researchers monitor health and activity to assess adaptation. In biology, acclimatization protocols help reduce stress-related variation, improve animal welfare, support successful plant or microbial establishment, and increase the reliability and reproducibility of experimental results. Protocol design depends on the species, life stage, environmental change, and intended application.

Transport and Acclimatization of Rodents for Research

2026

All animal procedures described here must be conducted in accordance with institutional animal ethics guidelines and approved by IACUC. All procedures must follow the principles of the 3Rs—Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement—and must be performed by trained personnel. Transporting rodents for research requires procedures that minimize stress and maintain animal welfare during movement to minimize the influence on experimental outcomes. Transport cages should provide adequate ventilation,...

Standardized Protocol For Monitoring Muscle Fatigue and Biomechanics In Amateur Cyclists Using Infrared Thermography

2026

Cycling biomechanics relies on efficient muscle activation and core stabilization. Infrared thermography (IRT) offers non-invasive monitoring of muscle fatigue. This protocol establishes a standardized methodology for integrating IRT into biomechanical analysis, aiming to optimize performance and prevent injury in amateur cyclists through precise physiological monitoring.

Neutrophils are among the first cells to arrive on the site of inflammatory immune response, and their functions and mechanisms have been studied extensively in vitro. We demonstrate a standard density gradient separation method to isolate human neutrophils from whole blood using commercially available separation media.
