Superior View

A superior view is an anatomical perspective observed from above, allowing structures on the upper or dorsal surface of an organism or body region to be examined in relation to one another. In biological imaging and dissection, this orientation establishes a consistent spatial frame by positioning superior structures toward the top of the field and revealing surface features that may be obscured in lateral or inferior views. Superior views support the identification, comparison, and documentation of organs, tissues, and external anatomy, making them useful in microscopy, specimen analysis, anatomical illustrations, and the interpretation of biological images.

Cranial Bones: Superior and Posterior View

2023

The superior view of the cranium shows the frontal and paired parietal bones. The frontal bone is the single bone that forms the forehead. At its anterior midline, between the eyebrows, there is a slight depression called the glabella. The frontal bone also forms the supraorbital margin of the orbit. Near the middle of this margin is the supraorbital foramen, the opening that provides passage for a sensory nerve to the forehead. The frontal bone is thickened just above each supraorbital margin,...

Superior Lacrimal Gland Removal: A Surgical Technique to Remove the Palpebral and Orbital Parts of Superior Lacrimal Gland from Rabbit Model

2025

This video describes the surgical procedure to remove the two parts: palpebral and orbital of the superior lacrimal gland from a rabbit to create a dry eye disease model. This rabbit model is suitable for studies of ocular surface homeostasis, pathophysiology and ocular therapeutics.

Econometric Views (EViews)

2025

Econometric Views, often stylized as EViews, is a package that merges statistical analysis with econometric studies. It is designed to provide tools for time series analysis, forecasting, and econometric model simulation. The software originated from MicroTSP software and has evolved significantly since its inception in 1981. The history of EViews is marked by a continuous effort to enhance its computational speed and user interface. It was initially developed for large computing systems but...

Establishment of a Modified Ferric Chloride-Induced Superior Sagittal Sinus Thrombosis

2025

This study presents a protocol for establishing a reproducible, minimally invasive rat model of superior sagittal sinus thrombosis induced by ferric chloride, utilizing a silk-suture method in combination with laser speckle contrast imaging and high-resolution ultrasound for evaluation.

A View of Their Own: Capturing the Egocentric View of Infants and Toddlers with Head-Mounted Cameras

Infants and toddlers view the world in a fundamentally different way from their parents. Head-mounted cameras provide a tractable mechanism to understand the infant visual environment. This protocol provides guiding principles for experiments in the home or laboratory to capture the egocentric view of toddlers and infants.
