T7 High Yield Rna Synthesis Kit

The T7 High Yield RNA Synthesis Kit is a laboratory system for producing large amounts of RNA from a DNA template in vitro, supporting research in molecular and cell biology. It uses bacteriophage T7 RNA polymerase, which recognizes a specific T7 promoter on the template and transcribes the downstream sequence into complementary RNA under controlled reaction conditions. Researchers can use the resulting transcripts for gene expression studies, ribonucleoprotein assembly, RNA structure and function analysis, and other applications requiring defined RNA preparations. By enabling efficient, template-directed synthesis, the kit supports reproducible experiments involving messenger RNA, noncoding RNA, and engineered RNA molecules.

One of the unique features of tRNA is the presence of modified bases. In some tRNAs, modified bases account for nearly 20% of the total bases in the molecule. Altogether, these unusual bases protect the tRNA from enzymatic degradation by RNases. Each of these chemical modifications is carried by a specific enzyme, post-transcription. All of these enzymes have unique base and site-specificity. Methylation, the most common chemical modification, is carried by at least nine different enzymes, with...

(2019)This video demonstrates the generation of a green fluorescent protein (GFP)-expressing recombinant respiratory syncytial virus using a T7-based reverse genetics system. The co-transfection of plasmids encoding viral proteins and a GFP-tagged genome leads to protein expression and initiates virus rescue.
