Radiographer

A radiographer is a healthcare professional who uses medical imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images and support patient care. In projection radiography, the radiographer positions the patient, directs a controlled beam of X-rays through the body, and records differences in tissue attenuation with a digital detector; other roles may involve computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, or fluoroscopy. Radiographers apply anatomy, imaging protocols, patient communication, and radiation-protection principles to obtain clear, clinically useful images while minimizing unnecessary exposure. Their work helps clinicians detect injury and disease, monitor treatment, and guide certain procedures, making radiography an essential component of modern clinical diagnosis.

2025

Here, we present a protocol to assess glycemic control using capillary blood glucose (CBG) and glycated hemoglobin A1C (HbA1C) levels. This study investigates the impact of hyperglycemia on knee osteoarthritis (KOA) symptoms, physical performance, physical activity level, radiographic severity, and inflammation in older adults with diabetes.

Stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) involves image-guided, ablative radiation delivered to cancer targets refractory to chemotherapy or to conventional radiation treatment. The robotic-armed Cyberknife SBRT system, using sophisticated target localization, delivers hypofractionated radiation doses capable of sterilizing cancer targets. This article will consider new therapeutic roles of SBRT for gynecological cancers.

Clinical Efficacy of Ultrasound-Assisted Scoliosis-Specific Exercise in Mild-Grade Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis
