Asset Protection

Asset protection is the use of legal and financial strategies to reduce the risk that personal or business assets will be lost to creditors, lawsuits, insolvency, or other claims. It works by separating ownership, control, and liability through tools such as corporations, limited liability companies, trusts, insurance, and carefully selected account or jurisdiction structures, while complying with disclosure and transfer laws. In finance, these approaches help individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and institutions manage downside exposure and preserve wealth across changing circumstances. Effective planning must occur before a dispute arises, because courts may challenge transfers intended to conceal assets or evade existing obligations.
