Rarity Evaluation

Rarity evaluation is the process of assessing how uncommon, limited, or difficult to obtain a product, service, or brand offering appears to consumers, and why that perception matters in marketing. Marketers use rarity evaluation to test whether scarcity claims are credible, identify which audience segments respond to them, and distinguish genuine exclusivity from messaging that may reduce trust. The findings can guide positioning, campaign design, pricing communication, and responsible promotion.
