Rectangle Area

Rectangle area is the amount of two-dimensional space enclosed by a rectangle, a fundamental measurement in mathematics and geometry. It is calculated by multiplying the rectangle’s length by its width, because the shape can be partitioned into equal unit squares arranged in rows and columns; thus, A = l × w, and the result is expressed in square units. This principle supports calculations involving floor plans, land measurements, material quantities, and coordinate geometry, while also providing a foundation for formulas involving composite figures, surface area, and volume.

Controlling and analyzing neural circuits in vivo would be facilitated by a technology for delivery of viruses and other reagents to desired 3-dimensional sets of brain regions. We demonstrate customized fluidic injector array fabrication, and delivery of virally-encoded optical sensitizers, enabling optical manipulation of complex brain circuits.
