Arthroscopic Debridement

Arthroscopic debridement is a minimally invasive surgical technique that uses a camera and small instruments to remove damaged, inflamed, or loose tissue from inside a joint. Through small skin incisions, the surgeon fills the joint with sterile fluid for visualization, examines its structures with an arthroscope, and trims or extracts abnormal tissue, such as frayed cartilage, inflamed synovium, or loose bodies. In medicine, this approach can reduce mechanical irritation and support improved joint movement in selected patients with injuries or degenerative conditions. Its effectiveness depends on the underlying pathology and may complement procedures that repair or restore joint tissue.
