Mobile Health Technology

Mobile health technology refers to the use of smartphones, tablets, wearable devices, and mobile applications to collect, transmit, and support health information and care. These systems combine sensors, wireless communication, software, and data analysis to monitor physiological signals, record symptoms, deliver reminders, and connect patients with healthcare professionals. In medicine, mobile health technology supports remote monitoring, clinical decision-making, medication adherence, health education, and management of chronic conditions. By extending care beyond hospitals and clinics, it can improve access, enable more continuous assessment, and generate patient-centered data for research, although effective implementation requires attention to privacy, data quality, and clinical validation.
