Single-surgeon Technique

The single-surgeon technique is a surgical approach in which one surgeon performs the principal operative steps, making it a distinct method for organizing and delivering care. It relies on carefully sequenced maneuvers, precise instrument handling, efficient use of available assistance, and continuous control of the operative field, while maintaining standard requirements for patient safety and teamwork. In medicine, this approach can support procedures in settings with limited personnel or specialized resources and can provide a framework for evaluating operative efficiency, technical consistency, and training. Its suitability depends on procedure complexity, surgeon expertise, patient factors, and the availability of appropriate support.
